The Team

 
 
  • Denise guides her students towards the natural balance, peace and potent, unconditional bliss in body and mind that the yogic teachings have to share. She started her health journey when severe allergies and migraines consumed her life during college. Through the help of self-study on nutrition and lifestyle, she was able to slowly unravel her feelings of sickness and to begin a corporate career in New York City. After moving to Chicago, she began a more regular practice of yoga battling stress and the feeling of being overworked, which quickly left her partially transformed and curious about this vast "new" world of experiential knowledge called yoga. Moksha Yoga Studios opened her entire world up to the classical, pure roots of yoga where she received her 200-hour training. She is a committed Ashtangi and enjoys a strong but
    healing practice.

    In class, you will experience full integrity of the physical postures, ease of the breath and tools to explore the inner self. Denise aims to guide each individual towards discovering his or her unchanging spirit in a safe and nurturing environment. It will be a gift to teach you!

  • Ashley Flood, RYT


    Ashley completed her 200 hr Power Teacher Training in the winter of 2016. She took her first yoga class over 10 years ago, but it wasn’t until 3 years ago that she realized the impact a daily practice could have on her whole life; mind, body and soul. She loved the feeling she would get after attempting a posture for weeks, sometimes months and one day completing the posture with ease, it reminded her of being a fearless child not afraid to try and fail and get up and try again. After working several years in the sales industry she realized she wanted to spread the love she has always had for fitness, health and human connection by becoming a yoga teacher. Ashley loves a sweaty flow, with lots of opportunity to build strength, while focusing on the mind and learning where you are able to let go and try easy.

  • Erin Haddock, RYT


    Erin first found yoga while attending Northwestern University. It was love at first pose. She loves yoga for the relaxation and well being she feels after each session and for the self­confidence she has developed through her own practice. Erin has taught the Yoga for the Special Child method since 2010.

    Erin completed her 200 hour teacher training with the creator of YSC, Sonia Sumar. She is E­RYT 200, RYT 500 certified through Yoga Alliance and holds certifications in the Yoga for the Special Child method, Adaptive Yoga for adults and Yoga for Teens.

    She pursues continuing education in Yoga Therapy at the Integral Yoga Institute in Buckingham, VA and is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists and Integral Yoga Teachers Association. The Yoga Therapy components of Erin’s instruction are based on the Therapeutic Applications of Integral Yoga and Yoga for the Special Child, not derived from her status as an RYT® with Yoga Alliance Registry.
