Migraines and Other Types of Headaches
If you have been suffering from migraines, contacting or visiting AAYU Clinics should be your next step. There are a variety of treatments available, including pain-relief and preventive medications. We can also discuss things you can do beyond medications, such as lifestyle changes, to help reduce the frequency or severity of your migraine headaches.
Other types of headaches — tension headaches, sinus headaches, cluster headaches, hormone headaches and others — have a variety of causes and treatments. Our neurologic specialists will confirm the diagnosis and develop a treatment plan to help bring you relief.
Vertigo is a neurologic condition that causes “dizzy spells” — very unpleasant and potentially dangerous, depending on where you are and what you are doing when one occurs. Vertigo is often associated with inner ear problems, but there are other causes. Symptoms of vertigo include a sensation of spinning or tilting, general unbalance, nausea, headache and sweating. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, come to Lakeview as soon as you can, and we’ll determine if vertigo is the issue and help you feel better.
Motion sickness is a common neurological disorder that usually affects people when they are traveling in a car, airplane, boat or train. It can be somewhat mild, where the sufferer feels an unpleasant sensation of dizziness, or quite severe, where symptoms include extreme nausea and/or vomiting. Please visit us or call for an appointment if you are suffering from any of these symptoms. Also, if you have had motion sickness before and plan to be traveling via car, plane, boat or train, stop in — we can help you minimize the potential for an attack of motion sickness during your trip.
